History of Delta State
Government House
Established following the creation of Delta State on August 27, 1991, the Government House in Asaba has evolved from a modest administrative center to a modern seat of governance. The initial structure was developed during the tenure of Governor James Ibori. Subsequent administrations, including those of Governors Emmanuel Uduaghan and Ifeanyi Okowa, have expanded and modernized the complex to meet the growing needs of the state. Notably, the Okowa administration commissioned the construction of the Professor Chike Edozien Secretariat, the largest state secretariat in Nigeria, symbolizing a significant milestone in the state's infrastructural development
Center of leadership, guiding Delta through vision and service. Within these grounds, governance thrives, decisions shape futures, and the people’s mandate finds its purpose.
